In light of recent events and tragedies, the UVJC is starting a book group to explore racial justice and equity issues and how we can take positive actions. The first discussion will focus on Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack by Peggy Mackintosh. The first book selection is How To Be An Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. We will read the book over 4-5 future meetings.
If you have questions, suggestions or can’t make the first meeting, please be in touch with co-facilitators, Gracie Callaghan or Hayley DeLugach. We are considering a group order of books from a local bookstore, so let us know if that interests you!
